Who we are
Bill&Go is a point-of-sale and ordering service for restaurants and cafés, made by BasilBook in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is the website at billandgo.app, the console, the till, the Bill&Go POS and Console apps, and Bill&Go Printing.
A shop is in charge of its own customers' information. When you order from a shop that uses Bill&Go, the shop decides what to do with your order, and we keep it on the shop's behalf. For anything about your order, ask the shop first; we help them answer.
What we collect
- The shop. Its business name, logo, branches with their address, phone and map pin, opening hours, menu, prices, stock, tables and printers.
- The shop's people. The owner's and staff's names, email or username, phone if given, role and branches. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. Signing in with Apple or Google gives us the email and the account id they share, nothing else.
- Customers. A customer who orders online or at a table may give a name, a phone number, an email, or sign in with Apple or Google. A delivery order also has the address and map pin.
- Orders and payments. What was ordered, prices, discounts, tax, who rang it up, how it was paid and when. We keep the result of a card or ABA PayWay payment; we never see or store a card number.
- Devices. The till, the apps and Bill&Go Printing tell us they are signed in or paired, their name and version, and, for push notifications, a token for that phone. A printing computer or box reports the printers it can see on the shop's network (model, network or USB address) and whether each printed.
- Our own records. When something happened and who did it, so a shop can see its history and we can find what went wrong.
- The website. The marketing pages of billandgo.app use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help. A shop's order page and the console do not.
What it is for
- Running the shop's till, kitchen, printing, deliveries, stock and reports, as the shop sets them up.
- Taking a customer's order, sending it to the kitchen, telling them when it is ready or on its way, and printing their bill.
- Signing people in safely and keeping each shop's information apart from every other shop's.
- Billing a shop for its plan, and emailing the owner about the account.
- Helping a shop when they ask us, and fixing what goes wrong.
We do not sell anyone's information, and we do not use a shop's customers for our own advertising.
How long we keep it
A shop's orders, bills and shifts are kept for as long as the shop uses Bill&Go, because receipts and the books have to add up months later. When a shop leaves, we delete its information on request, except what the law says a business must keep. A removed staff member, product or store is hidden at once and its past orders stay correct.
Your choices
- See or correct it. Owners and managers see and change their shop's information in the console. Staff can ask the owner.
- A copy, or delete it. Anyone can ask us for a copy of what we keep about them, or for it to be deleted. A customer's order history with a shop is the shop's; we pass that request to the shop and help them do it.
- Notifications. Turn push notifications off in the app or on the phone at any time. Account emails about billing cannot be turned off while a plan is paid for.
- Cookies. The console and the till keep you signed in with cookies that only our servers can read. The marketing pages' analytics can be blocked in your browser.
Apps and printing
The Bill&Go Console app uses the camera only to scan a printing box's code, and your photos only when you choose one for a product or the customer screen. Nothing is taken without you pressing a button. The Bill&Go POS app uses neither.
Bill&Go Printing (Windows, Mac and the Printing Core box) keeps its pairing and a log of recent tickets on that computer. It sends tickets to the shop's own printers on the shop's network, and tells our servers whether each one printed. It does not read anything else on the computer.
Talk to us
For a copy of your information, to delete it, or any question about this policy, write to us through the contact page. We answer within 30 days, and tell you if we need to check who you are first. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and owners hear about anything important by email.
